I'm guessing the sunglasses and jet shoes are a reference to a possible future for KND, where Hoagie has to take over after Nigel leaves for the G.-K.N.D. I think this picture's cool because of how Hoagie seems to be rising to the challenge. honoring his friend by becoming a hero in his own right.
